Spinach pakoda

A yummy crispy anytime snack


Ingredients:
2 cups spinach leaves
1 cup besan (Bengal gram flour)
1 cup water
2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp red pepper powder
Salt to taste

Method:
Mix all the dry ingredients in water to a smooth batter. Stir in the spinach leaves.
Heat oil in a wok for deep frying. Drop spoon fulls of batter slowly into the hot oil and deep fry until golden and crisp. Take out and soak excess oil onto paper towels. Serve hot.





Suggestions:
Can include cashews in the batter.
Serve with ketchup or chillie sauce
